the sok family @ maggiano's (sid, matthew & hoi)
after an attempt to walk off a very filling lunch (including double orders of desserts per the birthday girl) around santana row, not to mention to pick up hoi's birthday card, betty and i headed over to hoi & sid's place for the opening of gifts and birthday cake. we thought we were taking our sweet time walking around santana row but we were only the second group of people from the lunch to show up. for the next several hours, we sat around watching tv, chatting, trying to play sceneit?, eating cake and watching little matthew run around.

betty and i were the last to leave. i realized that since the lunch began at noon and we were leaving at 7p, we'd spent nearly a work day with them. i'm sure they were glad to see us go, finally.
