michael kors

i've been looking for some basic mary janes in black. i remembered that one of my lovely cousins told me about how comfortable michael kors shoes were. so obviously, i had to try a couple pairs on.

before i knew it, i was walking out with 2 pairs of shoes by michael kors. aren't they super cute?

last pair of the year!

these navy blue mary janes are satin with glittery wing-tip toe and chunky 3" heels. they are surprisingly comfortable and very cute.

oops... i did it again, twice.

not quite the end of 2009 so these two make 10 pairs for the year. and yes, i bought them both on the same day.these are nearly 5" heels, my tallest heels yet. they are black with a wide-not-quite-ankle-strap-not-quite-mary-janes with a platform.and these are dark gray mary janes with a 4" wooden heel.

last pair of 2009

i only bought 8 pairs of shoes this year. last year, it was 16. i guess it balances out to an average of 12 per year between last year and this year.
i got these back in early november. they are open toe, mary jane sling shoes in patent wine with a 3¼ inch heel. and uber comfy.

ugh, one more pair

these were too beautiful to pass up. they are iridescent hence the color is "oil." in different lights, they are dark green or dark purple. and i ♥ them! they are by kate spade and still on nordstrom.com for $295. i got them for less than a third of that price. yay!

june/july red pumps

i found these on ebay going for $300! fortunately, i paid much less for a brand new pair. and yes, the shoes are red & gold and oh-so-pretty!

shoes shoes shoes

one of my new year's resolutions this year was to cut down on shoe purchases. rather than buy one pair per month, it will be one pair every other month. here is the first pair of the year.another new year's resolution... rather a new rule for me is anything but black. taken from the wisdom of my dear sister and her expertise as a fashionista. in case you're wondering, the color of these mary janes are espresso which is almost black but not quite. still brown.

plus, i desperately had to replace my brown mary jane wedges i got two summers ago. the strap on one of the shoes keeps snapping off. even after repairs at the cobblery. they were one of two closed-toe brown pairs i had that i could wear in the rain.

september mary janes

i've been looking for some gray shoes and have been into wedges lately. these are really cute!

they are dark brown mary jane wedges with a 3 1/2 inch heel.
